Are you over-exfoliating your skin?

Discover the clean, effortless glow your skin has been waiting for.

“The key to a healthy glow is knowing how to exfoliate in a way that suits

your unique skin type, lifestyle, and even the current season.”

Exfoliation can be a powerful tool in your skincare routine, but it’s easy to

overdo it. The key to a healthy glow is knowing how to exfoliate in a way

that suits your unique skin type, lifestyle, and even the current season.

When it comes to exfoliation, I prefer a gentle polishing approach over

harsh scrubbing. This method allows for a light buffing of the skin, helping

with brightness, removing stagnant energy, and boosting circulation—all

without compromising the skin’s natural barrier.

Signs You Might Be Over-Exfoliating

If your skin is feeling tight, dry, or looking more irritated than usual, it may

be a sign of over-exfoliation. Other indicators include increased redness,

flakiness, or an uncomfortable sensitivity.

How Often Should You Exfoliate

This depends on your skin’s needs and other factors like environment and

climate. For most, once or twice a week is sufficient. However, if you’re

using additional products like enzymes or retinols, you’ll want to be extra

mindful. These ingredients can also act as exfoliants, and using them

simultaneously can push your skin into over-exfoliation territory.
